Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you shop with Urban Tailor, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
Last updated: October 2026
What we collect
We collect only what we need to sell you a garment, deliver it, and look after you afterwards.
- Order details: your name, email address, delivery address, a phone number if you give us one, and the pieces you ordered.
- Payment details: card payments are handled directly by Stripe. Your card number never reaches our servers, and we cannot see or store it.
- Usage data: the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and how you arrived at the store, recorded in aggregate so we can see what is working.
- Messages you send us: anything you write to us about orders, sizing, or returns.
How we use it
- To take payment, prepare and deliver your order.
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and answer your questions.
- To handle returns, exchanges, and refunds.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and payment disputes.
- To keep the accounting and tax records we are legally required to hold.
- To improve how the store looks, loads, and converts.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with advertising networks, and we do not build advertising profiles of you across other websites.
Who we share it with
A small number of service providers see the minimum information needed to do their job:
- Stripe, to process your payment securely.
- Delivery carriers, who receive your name, delivery address, and contact details to bring the parcel to your door.
- Our email provider, to deliver order confirmations and shipping updates.
- Professional advisers, or law enforcement, where we are legally required to share information.
Cookies and local storage
Your bag and a few preferences are stored in your own browser, not on our servers, so they are waiting for you when you come back. Clearing your browser data empties your bag.
We use the platform’s standard traffic analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking pixels.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we need them to fulfil the order, handle returns, and satisfy accounting and tax obligations. Correspondence is kept only while the matter is open. When we no longer need information, we delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it. Where your information is processed with your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Some records, such as invoices, must be kept for legal reasons even after a deletion request. We will always tell you if that applies.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights under local data protection law, including the right to complain to your local authority. Email us and we will help.
How we protect it
The store runs over an encrypted connection. Card data is handled by Stripe under their own strict security standards and never touches our servers. Order data is readable only by store administrators, and only for the purpose of running the store.
International orders
We ship worldwide, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own, including the United States, where some of our service providers operate. Wherever it is processed, it is protected by the measures described in this policy.
Children
This store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the store.
Questions about this policy, or want a copy or deletion of your data? Email us and we will respond within one business day.
